Day 7 Kawakawa and Kerikeri

We drove to KawaKawa today to visit the Hundertwasser toilets and the steam railway, I must say they were the nicest public toilets we have used. Unfortunately the steam engine for the railway was not operating so we stopped at the railway cafe for flat whites. I wondered down to take a photo of the railway engines and cars. I ran into Dennis who insisted on giving me the tour of the places including the workshop where they were rebuilding some old passenger cars. After the tour we had an nice chat with two local women over coffee.
In the afternoon we drove to Kerikeri and walked to Rainbow Falls..  well worth the 7 km along the river and through the forest to get there. Locals told us that the falls are at their best !
