Day 28 Wanaka

We are staying in Wanaka today. It is a nice little town right on the lake. There is an airshow on this weekend so we decide to head over to the airport to see what is on the go. To our surprise many of the planes are already here and easily viewed . Many are practicing for show so we get an advance viewing with none of the crowds. We watch a Yak aerobatics team of 9 planes go through their performance . There is also a museum at the airport called Warbirds and wheels which of course means they have displays of several vintage automobiles and airplanes .
After an enjoyable 4 hours we head back to our accommodation and walk into town for supper. A great day even if a bit unexpected.
