Today we toured Wellington !. First we head off to ride the
Cable car up the mountain. Mostly a tourists attraction but it is also part of
the public transit system. After a very interesting tour of the cable car
museum at the top we walk back down via the Botanical gardens. After a flat
white we head to the Te Papa museum on the waterfront. It is filled with
interesting displays. There is a World War 1 display about New Zealand part in the great battle. It was
stunning ! Very realistic and very moving ! We decide to walk up Mt. Victoria
for panoramic views of the city and for a bit of exercise. The views from the
top are incredible and the walk down leads us to Cuba street.. filled with cafes and restaurants . We had
supper at the Cuba Bistro.. very good !
