We head off to Gibbston Valley this morning. Our plan is to rent a couple of bikes and do a self guided winery tour. We do about a 20 km circuit along bike trails or back roads. We stop at a couple winery to do some testing and make some purchases. We stop at the Gibbston Tavern for lunch.. a rustic place off the beaten track but they have very good wood fired pizza. It is a short ride back to return our bikes after lunch so we do a tour of the last winery we come to which includes a wine cave. About 70% of the wine here is Pinot Noir with the other 30% being made up of Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc. Another good day !
