Day 36-37 Turangi

We boarded the ferry at 8 am and arrived in Wellington at 12:30 pm. Then it was a 4 hour drive to Turangi where we will spend the next 7 days. We drove across the desert road to get here and that is exactly what it looked like for 50 Km. Our accommodation is great ! This small village is known as the Trout fishing capital of the World. We do not plan any fishing trips but we hope to make some day trips to see the surrounding area. On Saturday we walk along the Tongariro River and plan our next few days .
